Mitgefühl und Hilfe für Erdbebenopfer

An der Bergischen Universität haben über 600 Studierende eine türkische oder syrische Staatsangehörigkeit und mehr noch ihre Wurzeln in diesen Ländern. Sie alle bangen und trauern um das Schicksal ihrer Familien und Freunde. „Ihnen, den Opfern und ihren Angehörigen sprechen wir unser tiefes Mitgefühl aus“, so Rektorin Birgitta Wolff.

The earthquake in Turkey and Syria has killed countless people and left thousands homeless. The human suffering and extent of the destruction shocked us.
At the University of Wuppertal, over 600 students have Turkish or Syrian citizenship and even more have roots in these countries. They all fear and mourn the fate of their families and friends. "We express our deepest sympathy to you, the victims and their relatives," said Rector Birgitta Wolff.
