Innovative ideas form the foundation of scientific research and often harbour enormous economic potential. To ensure that research results and inventions can be successfully developed and utilised, it is important to secure intellectual property rights at an early stage.
To this end, IP Management at the University of Wuppertal supports all university members and students in the invention and patenting process and provides individual advice on all questions relating to IP (intellectual property) and its protection and utilisation.
Tasks of IP management:
- Individual advice on IP
- Screening of IP-relevant projects
- Receipt and processing of invention disclosures
- Forwarding to PROvendis for evaluation
- Commissioning for patenting and utilisation
- Support with the drafting of contracts
- Administrative processing of inventions, patents and invention royalties
- Provision and arrangement of further training opportunities
