How I become occasional student?

Insights into studies

The occasional student programme

The program In Touch for occasional students is particularly designed for international prospective students with a refugee background who wish to pursue a regular course of study at the University of Wuppertal. All guest students will take part in online evening German courses (this is not an intensive German course).

The programme consists of an online evening German course, workshops, information events, and other various relevant activities. The information events provide an overview of studying in Germany and at the University of Wuppertal in order to facilitate and enable access to study programs. By joining the programme you can get an idea of possible courses of study and everyday life at German universities.

Enrolled students of the university, i.e. Buddies, advise occasional students on how to structure their semester program and how to deal with administrative matters. There are also specific advice services for the transition to our undergraduate or postgraduate courses.
