Internationalisation of the teaching profession

An internship at a school or education-orientated institution abroad gives you a completely new perspective on different education systems and expands your pedagogical, intercultural and didactic skills.

Internships abroad in the teaching profession

Anyone entering the teaching profession today needs more than just specialised knowledge and pedagogical sensitivity. Multiculturalism, inclusion and integration have long been an issue in German schools. However, understanding and dealing with foreign cultures and identities is not only learnt in the German lecture hall, but above all abroad.

The PROMOS program is a scholarship program funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), which provides universities with funding to promote student mobility. The program is intended to offer students the opportunity to spend time abroad whose projects or destinations cannot be funded under any other structured DAAD program. With scholarships for stays abroad of up to 6 months, the program makes an important contribution to increasing the mobility of students at the University of Wuppertal.
