SommerUni 2025: Register now and get a taste of studying!

With more than 90 individual events, students have a varied programme to choose from. They can put together their own individual timetable according to their interests - without any prior knowledge. Registration is now open via the SummerUni registration page; the deadline for registration is 30 May. Participation is free of charge.
The SummerUni gives young women interested in STEM subjects a week-long insight into studying science and technology at the University of Wuppertal - and of course into student life. The aim of the programme is to get to know and try out studying, current research practice and career options. The programme includes lectures, exercises, workshops and experiments from the subjects of chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, computer science, mechanical engineering, safety engineering, industrial design, architecture and civil engineering.
"Many of the SummerUni events invite you to join in and try things out. Here, participants can discover their own interests and strengths in STEM subjects. Our aim is to break down prejudices against technical and scientific degree programmes and encourage young women to consider this exciting career option. Specialists in these fields are in particularly high demand," explains project manager Ursula Skraburski.
As in previous years, the schoolgirls will be accompanied throughout the week by tutors who will share their own experiences and support them as they enter the world of higher education.
Further information on the schedule and programme can be found on the SommerUni website.
