The University of Wuppertal has set itself the goal of sustainable internationalisation of the university and offers all university members the opportunity to gain intercultural and international skills in the spirit of "internationalisation at home".

Buddy programmes, foreign language courses, German as a foreign language, intercultural encounters and training: the University of Wuppertal offers a wide range of opportunities to acquire international knowledge and intercultural skills for living, working and studying in an international environment.

Another important building block is the internationalisation of teaching. This places high demands on teaching staff. The University of Wuppertal therefore offers support in the implementation of international degree programmes and courses and encourages the invitation of guest lecturers.
