Top-up ticket/Deutschland-Ticket/49-Euro ticket upgrade

All semester ticket holders who are interested in also using the services of the 49-Euro-Ticket (or "Deutschland-Ticket") can purchase a so-called "Aufstockungsticket" (top-up ticket) for the semester ticket via the web portal of the Wuppertaler Stadtwerke. Click here to access the web portal, which is now available. Please note that all semester ticket holders who purchase the top-up ticket are expressly advised to always carry both tickets (= semester ticket and top-up ticket) with them as proof in the event of a journey check.

Deutschlandsemesterticket

Students at the University of Wuppertal will be able to use the “Deutschlandsemesterticket” for the summer semester 2024 from 1 April 2024, provided they are fully enrolled.

There are no changes to the previous procedure regarding the issuing of the semester ticket. The ticket will continue to be available via the usual download link that students receive by email from ride-ticketing as soon as they are re-registered. The semester ticket becomes invalid upon de-registration or failure to re-register on time.

To find out more about the benefits of the “Deutschlandsemesterticket”, please visit the AStA website at https://www.asta-wuppertal.de/semesterticket-faq/. The website is constantly updated. For example, it is no longer possible to take extra passengers or bicycles on the “Deutschlandsemesterticket”!

Please also note: It is no longer possible to use the semester ticket as a ticket-to-print version - nationwide for all universities that offer the “Deutschlandsemesterticket”. Therefore, please use our campus app and/or the familiar Apple and Android wallet apps to store your ticket digitally, e.g. for travel checks.

Bitte beachten Sie außerdem: Es ist – bundesweit für alle Universitäten, die das Deutschlandsemesterticket anbieten - nicht mehr möglich, das Semesterticket als Ticket-to-print-Variante zu nutzen. Bitte nutzen Sie daher für das digitale Ablegen des Tickets z.B. im Hinblick auf Fahrtkontrollen unsere Campus App und/oder die bekannten Wallet Apps von Apple und Android.
