Degree programs taught in English
In response to the growing demands of globalization the University of Wuppertal offers a number of degree programmes taught in English.
Please note, however, that knowledge of German is still indispensable for the acquisition of intercultural competence and for everyday life in Germany. The Language Learning Institute (SLI) of the University of Wuppertal offers parallel courses in German free of charge for international students on degree programmes taught in English.
The following degree programmes taught in English are currently available at the University of Wuppertal:
- Master's programme Computer Simulation in Science (CSIS)
- Bachelor's programme Sustainable Chemistry
- Master's programme Applied Economics and International Economic Policy
- Master's programme Smart Materials and Systems
Applicants with foreign educational certificates submit their application documents to the university via the uni-assist service point. You can find more information about the application here.
German language courses
International students should note that a knowledge of German is nevertheless essential for acquiring intercultural competence and living in Germany. The Language Teaching Institute (SLI) of the Bergische Universität offers free of charge, study-accompanying "Abenddeutschkurse" (evening German courses) as well as Study-integrated German courses for international students in English-language degree programmes.
