Students who are planning a study-related stay abroad have the opportunity to apply for financial support for the respective project within the framework of various funding programs/scholarships. Depending on the target country or target region of the host institution as well as the status and subject of the applicant, funding is possible through different funding programs.

Find the right scholarship

Scholarship programs generally offer financial support for stays abroad that are self-organised and take place outside of exchange programs. They are therefore particularly suitable for students who organise and carry out their stay abroad as so-called freemovers.

However, in some cases, the financial support that you automatically receive as part of an exchange programme can be combined with other scholarship programmes. Ask the staff at the International Office for information about the various funding options.
