Erasmus+ for Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs)
Fancy a short stay abroad? Then take part in a BIP and receive an Erasmus+ grant!
What is behind BIPs
Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs for short) are courses that consist of a virtual phase and a short stay in another European country (min. 5 - max. 30 days). BUW students can apply for an Erasmus grant for their participation in a BIP.
At least 15 students from at least three different universities from at least three different countries take part in a BIP.
Participation in one (or more) BIP enables BUW students to gain international experience within a short period of time and to familiarise themselves with another university and other teaching and learning cultures.

Information on the funding amount in the ERASMUS programme
The funding rates and funding criteria in the ERASMUS programme are determined by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The maximum possible funding period and funding amount is determined by the amount approved by the DAAD in the so-called "grant agreement".
The scholarship amount for students is determined based on the information they provide on the duration of their stay in the "Application for ERASMUS Scholarship" and the available budget. Against this background, it is possible that the financial ERASMUS funding period is shorter than the duration of the student's stay. Students will be informed of the exact amount of the grant when the Grant Agreements are sent out.
